Rome, Italy — 10–14 September
Sightseeing · Efficient routing · Skip-the-line throughout
ALL BOOKED
Day 1 — Wed 11th Sep · Arrival
06:00
Fly SYD → FCO — Emirates EK415 via Dubai
You're airborne by 6am on Emirates to Dubai — the longest leg of the whole trip at just under 14 hours, with two full meal services and on-demand entertainment to make it manageable. Around 2 hours on the ground in Dubai before the connection into Rome, enough to stretch your legs without the stress of a tight connection. It's all one ticket, so your bags are checked straight through to Rome and both boarding passes print in Sydney. If you want extra legroom, ask about an exit-row seat at check-in — Emirates typically releases a handful on the morning of departure.
19:30
Private transfer FCO → Hotel
You touch down at Fiumicino around 7:30pm local time. Your driver is waiting at arrivals with a name board, tracked against your actual landing time rather than a fixed pickup slot — land early or late and nobody's left waiting. No taxi queue, no haggling over fares after 22 hours of travel.
20:30
Check-in — Boutique Hotel Campo de' Fiori, Centro Storico
A boutique hotel two minutes from Campo de' Fiori square itself, and walkable to almost everything on this leg of the trip — the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trastevere are all within about 15 minutes on foot. You're here for 4 nights, so it's worth properly unpacking tonight rather than living out of the suitcase.
21:30
Dinner — Osteria del Pegno (3 min walk)
A reserved table three minutes' walk from the hotel, so dinner's sorted before you've even unpacked — no wandering Rome exhausted looking for somewhere with a free table. Romans eat late, so 9:30pm lands right in the middle of the dinner rush rather than the tail end of it. Keep it simple tonight: a plate of cacio e pepe and an early night sets you up for the 8am Vatican start.
TripMade Tip
Your arrival transfer is timed to your actual landing time, not a guess — nobody's left waiting around at Fiumicino.
Day 2 — Thu 12th Sep · Vatican & Trastevere
08:00
Vatican Museums + Sistine Chapel — skip-the-line
Doors open at the Vatican Museums right at 8am — booked deliberately at that time, since it beats roughly 90% of the day's crowds through to the Sistine Chapel, otherwise the single most congested room in Rome by mid-morning. Skip-the-line entry means you walk straight past the general queue that already wraps around the walls. Shoulders and knees need to be covered, so dress for it before you leave the hotel.
11:30
St Peter's Basilica + dome climb
A 10-minute walk around from the museums to St Peter's Basilica, which is free to enter. The dome climb is booked in — 551 steps in total, though the first stretch can be done by lift if you'd rather save your legs for the view over St Peter's Square at the top. The last section narrows and leans with the curve of the dome, so it's worth knowing that going in if tight spaces bother you.
14:00
Lunch — Pizzarium Bonci, Prati
Pizzarium Bonci in Prati — widely considered Rome's best pizza al taglio, sold by weight so you can try a few different toppings without committing to a full pizza. An easy 8-minute walk from the Vatican. It's standing room only with a few stools outside, so grab your slices and eat on the go like the locals do.
16:00
Castel Sant'Angelo — guided tour
A guided tour through Castel Sant'Angelo, the riverside fortress-turned-museum that was once the papal escape route from the Vatican via a secret elevated passage. Your guide covers that history on the way up to the top terrace, one of the city's best rooftop views back over St Peter's and the Tiber.
19:30
Dinner — Da Enzo al 29, Trastevere
Dinner's reserved at Da Enzo al 29 in Trastevere — a tiny, family-run trattoria that's consistently one of the neighbourhood's most loved, which is exactly why a booking matters here; walk-ins regularly wait over an hour. Get there a few minutes early and use the time to wander Trastevere's cobbled backstreets, one of the prettiest parts of Rome after dark.
TripMade Tip
8am entry at the Vatican avoids roughly 90% of the day's visitors — most tourists don't arrive until 10am.
Day 3 — Fri 13th Sep · Ancient Rome & Hidden gems
07:45
Colosseum + Roman Forum — priority access, guided
Priority, guided access into the Colosseum and Roman Forum — booked three weeks out, since the Colosseum regularly sells out well ahead of most people's travel dates, especially in peak season. Your guide takes you through the arena floor and underground chambers most general-admission tickets don't include, then continues on through the Forum and Palatine Hill on the same ticket. Wear proper walking shoes — it's uneven ancient stone for most of the morning.
12:00
Lunch — Supplì Roma, street food near Forum
A quick, cheap lunch at Supplì Roma near the Forum — Rome's classic fried rice balls with a molten mozzarella centre, done properly, and a fraction of the price of anywhere directly on the tourist strip. Order a couple each plus a slice of pizza bianca to keep the energy up for the afternoon.
15:00
Borghese Gallery — timed entry (must pre-book)
A timed 3pm entry at the Borghese Gallery — tickets are strictly time-slotted and routinely sell out weeks ahead, so this one's locked in well in advance. Bernini's sculpture and Caravaggio's paintings share the same few rooms, and visits are capped at two hours, which is enough to see everything without rushing. Bags have to be checked at the entrance, so arrive 20 minutes early.
20:00
Dinner — Il Sorpasso, aperitivo + dinner
Dinner's booked at Il Sorpasso — a wine bar and kitchen that runs aperitivo straight through to dinner in one relaxed sitting, so there's no rushing between two venues after a full day on your feet. The small-plates menu changes daily depending on what's fresh at the market that morning, so ask what's good tonight rather than ordering off memory.
TripMade Tip
The Colosseum regularly sells out three weeks in advance — pre-booked for you automatically so it's one less thing to think about.
Day 4 — Sat 14th Sep · Final morning then fly to Ibiza
09:00
Trevi Fountain + Pantheon — early, no crowds
An early, uncrowded pass through the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon — both close to empty before 9am, compared with the crowds that build steadily from mid-morning onward. The Trevi is free; the Pantheon has a small entry ticket of around €5. Toss a coin into the Trevi with your right hand over your left shoulder for the classic guarantee of a return trip to Rome — pure tradition, but worth doing anyway.
11:00
Brunch — Antico Caffè Greco (since 1760)
A relaxed final brunch at Antico Caffè Greco, Rome's oldest café, open since 1760 and once a regular haunt of Byron and Keats. Sit down inside among the old paintings rather than standing at the bar — it costs more, but it's a proper, unhurried send-off from Rome rather than a rushed coffee at the gate.
13:30
Transfer to FCO — pre-booked, tracked in app
Your pre-booked, live-tracked transfer gets you to Fiumicino with a comfortable buffer before the flight — around 45 minutes from the centre, tracked so the driver adjusts if traffic's heavy. Ask the hotel to hold your bags after checkout so you're not carrying them around Rome all morning.
16:20
Fly FCO → IBZ — Vueling
A short, easy 2h15 hop across the Mediterranean, landing into Ibiza at 18:35 local time, ready for the next four nights. Vueling's cabin bag allowance is tighter than Emirates', so check yours fits their sizer before you leave the hotel — paying for a bag online beforehand is much cheaper than at the gate.
TripMade Tip
Rome hotel checkout is typically 11am, well before this day's low-key sightseeing wraps up — ask reception to hold your bags for the morning, it's standard practice at Campo de' Fiori and saves carrying them around the city.

Day 5 — Sat 14th Sep · Arrival & first night out
18:35
Check-in — Ushuaïa Beach Hotel, Playa d'en Bossa
The Vueling flight from Rome lands into Ibiza at 18:35, then it's a 10-minute transfer straight to Ushuaïa Beach Hotel in Playa d'en Bossa — beachfront, with its own open-air club on site, so there's genuinely no need to arrange transport for the first night. Rooms here book out fast around the closing parties, so this one was locked in as soon as the September dates were confirmed.
20:30
Dinner — Jockey Club Sunset Beach (beachfront)
Dinner's reserved at Jockey Club Sunset Beach, right on the sand, timed so you're seated for sunset. Mediterranean seafood and grilled fish are the thing to order here, and it's a short walk back along the beach to the hotel, so you can go straight from dinner to the party.
23:00
Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Club — Tiësto closing party
Booked entry into Ushuaïa's closing party with Tiësto — about as strong a first night as Ibiza gets. Doors open well before the headliner, but the venue's a two-minute walk from your room, so there's no rush to get there right on time and nothing to organise getting home.
TripMade Tip
Ushuaïa sits directly on the beach with its own open-air club, so night one needs zero transport planning.
Day 6 — Sun 15th Sep · Pool day & Pacha
13:00
Recovery brunch — La Paloma, San Lorenzo
A slow recovery brunch at La Paloma in San Lorenzo — a garden restaurant set among orange groves inland from the coast, deliberately laid-back and away from the beach clubs, which makes it the right pace for the morning after a big first night.
15:30
Sunset catamaran — 3hr, open bar
A 3-hour sunset catamaran with open bar, including a transfer from Ushuaïa to Ibiza Town marina. It departs at 5:30pm, timed so golden hour hits right as you're passing Dalt Vila, the walled old town. This route and time slot sells out fast in September, so it's booked well ahead rather than left to chance.
21:00
Dinner — El Chiringuito, Es Cavallet beach
Dinner's reserved at El Chiringuito on Es Cavallet beach — one of Ibiza's quieter, more low-key stretches of sand, a deliberate contrast to the catamaran. Easy seafood and paella with your feet almost in the sand, and a chance to reset before the late one.
00:00
Pacha Ibiza — Eric Prydz presents HOLO
Booked entry to Pacha for Eric Prydz's HOLO residency at midnight — one of the biggest shows on the island, built around a huge holographic stage production. Pacha's door policy is relaxed for pre-booked ticket holders, so there's no queuing required.
TripMade Tip
The sunset catamaran departs from Ibiza Town marina and gives the best view of Dalt Vila at golden hour — it sells out quickly in September.
Day 7 — Mon 16th Sep · Beach & DC10
14:00
Cala Comte beach — taxi pre-booked, sunbeds reserved
A pre-booked taxi to Cala Comte on the west coast, with sunbeds already reserved — widely regarded as having the clearest water on the island, and the reservation means you're not fighting for a spot on the sand. Bring reef-safe sunscreen — a couple of the beach clubs here have started asking for it specifically.
18:00
Sunset drinks — Café del Mar, San Antonio
Sunset drinks at Café del Mar in San Antonio — Ibiza's original sunset-watching spot since the 1980s, and still the benchmark everyone else on the strip is copying. A table's reserved ahead, since the terrace fills up well before sunset itself on a clear evening.
20:30
Dinner — Can Pilot, traditional Ibizan grill
Dinner's booked at Can Pilot, a proper Ibizan grill well away from the tourist strip — big cuts of meat cooked over the fire and a local crowd rather than a club one. A solid, filling meal before the longest night of the trip.
23:30
DC10 — Circoloco Monday (legendary weekly)
Entry into DC10 for Circoloco's Monday night — doors deliberately booked from midnight rather than earlier, since this is one of the island's most iconic weekly parties and doesn't properly get going until later. It runs through to midday Tuesday for anyone with the stamina.
TripMade Tip
Cala Comte has the clearest water on the island, and DC10's Circoloco starts late on purpose — doors don't open until midnight.
Day 8 — Tue 17th Sep · Final day & departure
13:00
Final brunch — Babylon Beach, Es Canar
One last relaxed brunch at Babylon Beach in Es Canar — a quieter spot on the island's northeast coast, away from the party areas, for an easy final morning before the trip winds down.
15:30
Transfer to IBZ airport — pre-booked taxi
A pre-booked taxi to Ibiza Airport, timed with a comfortable buffer before check-in closes, so there's no last-minute scramble on the way out. The airport gets especially busy with departing party traffic after the big Monday nights, which this timing accounts for.
18:10
Fly IBZ → DXB → SYD — Emirates connecting
The Emirates connection home via Dubai is booked as one ticket door to door — check in once in Ibiza and your bags are checked straight through to Sydney, with no need to collect and recheck them in Dubai. You land back in Sydney early the following morning, with a day up your sleeve before you're back at work.
TripMade Tip
Since your bags are checked through on one ticket, there's no need to build extra time into the Dubai layover for baggage — just enjoy the stopover lounge if your fare includes one.

A quieter stretch of beach with a growing food scene — better value than Barceloneta, still an easy walk to the sand.

Our story
“

Every trip we took started the same way: weeks of browser tabs, spreadsheets and group chats before we'd booked a single thing. We knew there had to be a better way, so we built one. TripMade does the planning in minutes and takes the guesswork and wasted time out of the process.”

Why we started TripMade

We're two friends from Sydney who love to travel but dread the planning. Figuring out where to stay, what's worth seeing and how to fit it all around the flights you've already booked can take longer than the trip itself.

TripMade changes that. Tell us the vibe of your trip, your dates, your budget and anything you've already locked in, and we'll turn it into a day-by-day itinerary that flows naturally. We do the heavy lifting, so you can spend your time fine-tuning the trip to suit you instead of wondering what to book next.

Already have a trip booked? Head to the Ask TripMade tab for destination advice or help finding somewhere to stay.

The best part is… we're only just getting started. Right now, we'll build your itinerary for free and give you access to our booking partners so you can book everything yourself. Our goal is to become a fully all-inclusive booking service that takes care of your trip from start to finish.

Checked before it's sent

Every itinerary is reviewed by the TripMade team before it lands in your inbox.

This is a working draft written to reflect what TripMade actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should get that review before launch — in particular the Australian Privacy Act / APP references below.

Privacy Policy

Last updated — draft version, not yet finalised

1. Who we are. TripMade Pty Ltd ("TripMade", "we", "us") is an Australian company that builds personalised travel itineraries for customers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect. Depending on how you use TripMade, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number and country; the travel preferences you give us (destination, dates, budget, group size, vibe, must-haves, things to avoid, and similar trip details); messages you send our Ask TripMade assistant; account sign-in activity; and, if you leave one, a review or testimonial. We collect this when you request an itinerary, join the waitlist, create an account, save a trip, use Ask TripMade, or leave a review.

3. How we use it. We use your information to generate and deliver your itinerary, respond to Ask TripMade questions, let you save trips and pick up where you left off, process any optional paid features you choose (see Terms & Conditions), and improve our service. We only email you travel deals and inspiration if you've ticked the box to opt in when giving us your details — that's always a separate, optional choice from getting the itinerary or waitlist confirmation you asked for. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who we share it with. We use a small number of service providers to run TripMade, and your information passes through them only as needed to provide the service: Supabase (database and account sign-in), Make.com (automation that connects our forms, email and PDF generation), Anthropic's Claude (to help write your itinerary and answer Ask TripMade questions), APITemplate.io (to generate your itinerary PDF), Google Workspace (email delivery, form intake, file storage), Stripe (payment processing, for optional paid features), and analytics tooling used to understand how the site is used. None of these providers may use your information for their own purposes beyond providing their service to us.

5. Affiliate links. Itineraries may include links to booking partners (such as flight, hotel, activity, insurance or eSIM providers). If you book through these links, TripMade may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We don't share more than the minimum needed for that link to work (e.g. a tracking parameter in the URL) — we don't hand your personal details to these partners unless you go on to book directly with them yourself.

6. Cookies and analytics. We use cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in and to understand, in aggregate, how people use the site (which pages are visited, roughly how long a session takes) so we can improve it. This doesn't include selling your data to advertisers.

7. Data storage and retention. Your information is stored securely with the providers listed in section 4, some of which may store or process data outside Australia. We keep it for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and delete or de-identify it when it's no longer needed, unless we're required to keep it longer by law.

8. Security. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including access controls on our database so only you (and, where relevant, our team) can see your own records. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children. TripMade is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Your rights. You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time, and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time (that stops future marketing emails; it doesn't affect itineraries or account emails you've asked for). If you're in Australia, this is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles; if you believe we haven't met our obligations, you can also raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). To exercise any of these, contact hello@tripmade.co.

11. Changes to this policy. We may update this policy as our service evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.

12. Contact. Questions about this policy, or to exercise your rights above, can be sent to hello@tripmade.co.

This is a working draft written to reflect what TripMade actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should get that review before launch — in particular sections 5 and 9 below (payment terms and liability).

Terms & Conditions

Last updated — draft version, not yet finalised

1. Acceptance. By using TripMade, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

2. Our service. TripMade generates personalised travel itineraries based on the information you provide, using a combination of AI assistance and human review. Itineraries are suggestions only — we don't currently book or confirm flights, hotels, or activities on your behalf unless you separately arrange that with us.

3. Your account. Some features (saving trips, joining the waitlist, viewing your itinerary in the Inbox) require an account, verified by a one-time code sent to your email. You're responsible for keeping access to your own email account secure, since that's how you sign in.

4. Accuracy. While we aim for accuracy, prices, availability, and details in your itinerary (including affiliate links) are estimates at the time of generation and may change before you book. Always confirm final prices and availability directly with the relevant provider before booking.

5. Optional paid features. Some parts of TripMade — such as unlocking extra detail on your itinerary — may involve a one-off fee, processed securely through Stripe. The price is shown before you pay. Once the paid content has been delivered to you, the fee is generally non-refundable, except where you're entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (for example, if the service wasn't provided as described).

6. Affiliate commissions. TripMade may earn a commission when you book through links in your itinerary. This does not affect the price you pay, and any booking you make through a partner link is a contract between you and that partner, not with TripMade.

7. No liability for bookings. TripMade is not a travel agent and is not responsible for bookings made directly with third-party providers, including cancellations, delays, changes, or disputes — those are between you and the provider.

8. Acceptable use. Please don't use TripMade to submit false information, attempt to scrape or resell our itineraries at scale, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or close an account that does.

9. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, TripMade's liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the specific feature the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes. We may update these terms from time to time as our service evolves. Continuing to use TripMade after an update means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

12. Contact. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@tripmade.co.
